<> USACE submitted to Congress the GLMRIS Report to control Asian Carp and other invasive species – The report presents a range of options and technologies available to prevent aquatic nuisance species (ANS) movement between the Great Lakes and Mississippi River basins through aquatic connections. Comments will be accepted until 30 days following the last public meeting, or March 3, 2014.
- Senator Stabenow, Representative Camp, Great Lakes Advocates Say More Action Needed Following Release of Asian Carp Report - Following the release of a new report on ways to stop Asian carp and other invasive species from entering the Great Lakes, U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow and Congressman Dave Camp today joined with Great Lakes experts and advocates to urge that more action be taken to stop the invasive fish that could wreak havoc on the Great Lakes' ecosystem.
