MI DNR says future 'not awesome' for Lake Michigan Chinook salmon fishery

<> MI DNR says future 'not awesome' for Lake Michigan Chinook salmon fishery - According to the Michigan DNR, the salmon population in Lake Michigan has dropped about 75 percent from its peak in 2012. The numbers are not comforting but fishery managers say the agency is working to avoid a Lake Huron repeat, where the salmon fishery bottomed out in 2003 and has yet to recover.
